Delicious fruit preserves, jams, jellies and relishes, all lovingly hand crafted in small batches by Mary in The Farm Kitchen here at Hawthorne Hill Farm. These products contain NO CANE SUGAR. The only sugars present are those which occur naturally in the produce used in their creation. Essentially, if you’re able to eat the fruit, you can eat the jam!
Mary uses pharmaceutical grade xylitol to craft her creations. Xylitol is a great tasting natural sweetener that has two main sources - birch trees and corn cobs. We use the corn cob sourced variety for two very good reasons. Firstly, it is the more sustainable choice as it utilises that which would otherwise be a waste product. Secondly, it is slightly cheaper than the birch tree sourced variety meaning that we can keep our prices as low as possible.
